Learn about filmmaking and write your own story with guidance from a professional filmmaker!

Are you interested in short films and wondering how the story was created? Join an online session with a professional filmmaker and learn all about filmmaking. First, you will learn about the short film industry and the screening platforms in the world. Next, you will get to watch a Korean short film and learn about the film format. In addition, you will use your creativity and come up with your own short film pitch. The filmmaker will help you with writing the script format. To end the class, you will share your ideas with each other and receive feedback!

[Brief Bio of Instructor]
  • Born in Seoul, lived in Malaysia, Singapore, and Canada for 17 years.
  • Producer for various film and television programs at Oak 3 Films, Singapore.
Studied film production at York University, Toronto, and a master's program in film studies at Dongguk University, South Korea.
  • Selected participant for NAFF Film School organized by Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival 2012, Talent Campus Tokyo organized by Berlinale Talents & Tokyo FILMeX 2013, KAFA-Indonesia Co-Production Prebiz program organized by Korea Academy of Film Art in 2014.
  • Winner of Project Development Program grant from Next Masters Support Program organized by Talents Tokyo & Tokyo FILMeX 2015.
  • Selected project by Korea Film Council and presented at Busan International Film Festival’s Asian Film Market 2016.
  • Selected project for Incheon Fantasy Convention’s Future Film Production Support Program mentoring program 2020.
  • Winner of new novelist development program by Korea Creative Content Agency and SafeHouse publishing 2023.
  • Written, Directed and Produced four Short Films, completed ten Feature Scripts, and published her first Crime Thriller Novel in Korea.
