Hit the waves at Songjeong Beach, one of Busan's three major beaches and a favorite among surfers. With many surf schools lining the shore, it can be hard to make a choice. Songjeong Surfing School has been a leader in Korean surf culture since its founding in 1995. Join a beginner-friendly lesson led by certified instructors or simply rent a surfboard and wetsuit to free surf on your own!

[Class Curriculum]

▲ Preparation of Surf Lesson & Safety Briefing
Meet at Songjeong Surfing School for a brief orientation of the facilities. You'll learn about water sports safety precautions, surf etiquette, and the equipment you'll be renting. Afterward, you'll be assigned a wetsuit and head to the beach.

▲ Land Training
Practice popping up on a surfboard, basic paddling, and take-off postures under the instructor's guidance.

▲ Training in Water
Head into the water, learn to navigate waves, and position yourself in the lesson area. The instructor will assist you with take-offs in the whitewash zone and guide you on timing.

▲ Free Surfing
After the lesson, enjoy catching your own waves with your new surf buddies!

A minimum of two people are required to join the surfing lesson.
The minimum age for surfing is 12 years old.

Lessons will still proceed on rainy days - surfing in the rain is great. However, in the event of severe storms or strong winds, lessons may be canceled. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.

7 days before the reserved date: 100% refund
2~6 days before the reserved date: 80% refund
1 day before the reserved date or less: Non-refundable

What happens if it rains on the day?

Yes, this activity is suitable for ages 12 and up.

Do I need to bring anything?
