I forgot to say in our other review that you might want to bring a couple bath towels with you on this trip. The hotel only provides hand towels for the showers!

We had the Deluxe Ondol Suite at the top of building 201 and facing the mountain for our room in this package. These units are part of the Holiday Inn and Suites Condo section, and check-in for this is at the Welcome Center on the corner of 201 by the entrance road. There is another section called Holiday Inn and Suites Resort, next to the casino and conference center, that offers more traditional hotel rooms and suites. The Condo Deluxe suite is spacious and the balcony view is fantastic! Floor heating has a separate control in every room, and there are two full bathrooms (one with a tub). There are lots of closets to stow away gear if you are staying a while. The kitchen is equipped with a large fridge+freezer, microwave, rice cooker, and electric kettle. There are enough plates, cups, and utensils for four people to dine in or reheat leftovers. The ondol room has two very thin foam pads for mattresses, and two bean-filled pillows, which left even our lightweight young children complaining about the hardness of a nights sleep. Consider asking for additional sleeping pads or bringing along an air mattress, especially if adults are going to be sleeping on them. The traditional room had a queen bed and was comfy enough. It has it's own aircon unit for the summer. Thankfully there are 4 pillows in there so we could give away two to the kids. The room was pretty quiet the first night but the second night and mornings we were able to hear talking and banging around from the room next door so bring those ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Each building has CU convenience stores and restaurants on the first floor. You don't have to walk far in the cold to get food and supplies! Unfortunately due to Covid at least half of the restaurants were closed, including BBQ, but there still seemed to be a good variety of choices. Domino's was open and serving up great pizza for 20% off. Lotteria was only open for lunches during our visit. Just up the street from the resort are a couple of large restaurants and two fried chicken spots-- BHC and a Hosigi Original Double Chicken (we got take out from Hosigi and highly recommend it). Tip for families: If you don't need a kitchenette, check out the family suites in the Resort section of the hotel for the units with room with 2 single beds for adults and a room with bunk beds for the kids. These rooms run a bit cheaper too.
